ISOLLAT Confirms Its Efficiency on Industrial Equipment in South Korea
Following the application of ISOLLAT-02 liquid thermal insulation and the ISOLLAT-Effect system to the external surface of industrial equipment, a significant reduction in surface temperature was recorded.
SpecTech LLC announces a new practical application of ISOLLAT liquid ceramic thermal insulation at an industrial facility in South Korea.
The company’s partner, CNT, has completed the application of liquid thermal insulation on industrial equipment at a facility located in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. The enterprise specializes in the production of key components for energy storage systems (ESS).
The work was carried out on the external surface of a combustion chamber and on selected sections of the equipment’s outer casing. The main objective of the project was to reduce the external surface temperature of high-temperature equipment, decrease heat load in the working area, and improve working comfort for personnel.
ISOLLAT-02 liquid ceramic thermal insulation was applied to standard sections. In areas exposed to increased thermal loads, the reinforced ISOLLAT-Effect thermal insulation system was additionally used.
After completion of the works and full drying of the coating, CNT specialists carried out control measurements of the surface temperature. On one of the most thermally loaded high-temperature sections, the surface temperature before coating application was 116.1 °C. After the application of the ISOLLAT system, it decreased to 47.9 °C.
The results obtained confirm that ISOLLAT is not only a material for building thermal insulation, but also an effective solution for industrial applications where it is necessary to reduce heat transfer, lower the external surface temperature of equipment, and improve the safety of the production environment.
